What Are Cataracts?
A cataract is a clouding of the lens in the eye.
The normally clear lens lets light enter the
eye. As it becomes cloudy, less light enters and
vision becomes blurry. Cataracts are common with
age and can occur in one or both eyes. The
clouding of the lens usually happens slowly over
time. But it can happen quickly.
